We are excited for the new school year and all the we have planned in the PTS (Parents, Teachers and Students) organization. Durham Elementary School (DES) PTS is a parent‐run organization which works with our staff and faculty to provide support and enrichment to the amazing kids
that attend our school! DES PTS supports many programs and provides over $9,000 in teacher support annually. We help to enhance our school culture by funding the growing garden project and incredible art docent program, as well as by helping the school’s librarian purchase incentives to encourage the students’ love of reading. For more than 40 years our organization has been coordinating the popular Grandparent’s Day gathering, father/daughter dance and mother/son event. None of this work would be possible without the support of our parents.
Please join the organization for just $10 per family (membership is district wide).
DES PTS meetings are held at 8:45am the first Friday of each month (except September and January). We welcome your participation and input.
