1) Why did you become a teacher? I like being a part of something bigger than myself that I think matters. 

2) What are your hobbies and interests outside of work? I like spending time with my family skiing, hiking, and traveling.

3) A fun fact about yourself or unique talent you possess, if any? I competed internationally in combat rifle marksmanship, and I am an expert with explosives.

4) Favorite book, movie, or music (pick only one to share) and why it is your favorite? My favorite book is Nine Stories by J.D. Salinger, because it is so concisely evocative and poignant.

4) Favorite part, so far, about working at Durham Elementary School? My favorite thing about working at DES is that it's not just a job, it's a family.
