Jennifer Barber is Durham Elementary School's 2022-2023 Classified Employee of the year! Jen makes a positive impact daily as our Behavior Intervention Para Educator, and she is always willing to go above and beyond to support the needs of our students and staff, and to make Durham Elementary School a better place for students to learn and staff to work. She always greets you with a smile, stays positive in tough situations, and is constantly solving problems. She promotes PBIS and building a positive school culture through the Clubhouse; teaching social-emotional mini-lessons; providing support in the classrooms and through check-in and check-out; participating on the PBIS Leadership Committee and our Student Based Intervention Team. While facilitating all of these duties she also has the time and energy to providing staff training; and attending trainings to improve and learn new techniques to help improve herself and the programs that serve our students. Jen is a real asset to the DES students and staff that she serves, congratulations on a well deserved honor !!
