1) Why did you become a teacher? I became a teacher because I wanted to make learning fun, creative and interesting. I had a tough time grasping specific topics in school that were taught the traditional way. The teachers that made the lessons creative and engaging were what got me through school and showed me how to be successful. I want to do that for my students.

2) What are your hobbies and interests outside of work? Outside of school you can find me at the ball field with my husband and 3 kids, scouting, or working on various projects.

3) A fun fact about yourself or unique talent you possess, if any? A fun fact about me is that I can look at a cartoon image and redraw it on a fresh sheet of paper.

4) Favorite book, movie, or music (pick only one to share) and why it is your favorite? When looking for a book or movie, I veer towards action, mystery and a good storyline. One of my favorite movies is National Treasure, as it hits all those points, well as a dash of history.

5) Favorite part, so far, about working at Durham Elementary School? My favorite part of working at Durham Elementary is being part of an amazing community. It's rewarding to work alongside my coworkers, interact with the students, and witness the school’s involvement in so many community events.
