Certificated Employee of the Year: Dina Buttitta
Dina has worked at Durham Elementary School for the past 16 years. In addition to being our most veteran Kindergarten teacher, she is also bilingual; serves as a cooperating teacher for student teachers through Chico State; is a mentor for the Butte County Induction program for new teachers; serves on our school site Technology Committee; and, she is the lead for her grade level team. She has been integral in creating our standards based report card in Illuminate, and is currently participating in the "Getting Reading Right" training through the Butte County Office of Education. Dina shows great perseverance! She continuously sets professional goals for herself and knocks them out of the park with her great results in achieving them! She goes above and beyond to share her knowledge and care for her students. Dina is a tremendous asset to our staff, and very deserving of this recognition!
