Durham American Legion Post 673 and Unit 673 Ladies Auxiliary are proud to announce the 2023 Boys and Girls State delegates from Durham High School. They are, with Legion members, left to right: Rick Farley, Liam Wilbur, Owen Solano, Maddie Frazier, Teddy Knowles and Sharon Fisher (not pictured: Austin Salado). The five juniors will be attending the annual leadership and government training. The four young men will be hosted at Sacramento State University June 17-24 and Ms. Frazier will also be going to CSUS from June 26-July 2. The students – who have known one another for many years – are juniors at DHS and will return to their campus in the fall ready to implement some of what they learned during the summer sessions. The long line of leadership at Durham High School is now 73 years “young” the local post and ladies’ auxiliary having sent delegates each year since the program’s inception by the local Post and Auxiliary.
